The word ‘despite’ is bullshit. Because spite is even a consideration. If you take action despite something, it means you think spite is deserved but you’re not passing it along so you’re a better person than those who do act on their spite.
The problem is : you still have spite, asshole.
So c’mon, enough with this ‘despite’ business.
When in doubt, shut up and listen.
Listen to whatever it is.
Then go.

You can’t make someone change their mind; you can only be a good example. Then, if someone is so inclined, someone can follow suit.
The Beatles’ “Fixing A Hole” was playing when this thought appeared. I’m certain there’s some connection.
You need to do anything once before you can prove to yourself that you can do it.
You need to do anything at least twice before you can prove to anyone else that you can do it.
I found myself watching a YouTube video that I didn’t really want to watch and I clicked away from it. But because I’d watched the first few seconds of it, the recommendations that then appeared on my YouTube home page contained content similar to the video that I didn’t want to continue watching.
While this bit of automated programming functions if I’m enjoying the content, it did not today.
